The Graphic Design Juried Student Show is an opportunity for students at all levels of Auburn’s design program to submit their best work for exhibition. While the faculty jury works on the exhibition, fourteen awards are juried by a guest industry leader.
The poster was strategically designed in a size ratio for social media purposes, resonating with a wide range of people within the university. The poster achieved impressive results, attracting design students to submit their work and welcoming parents, alums, and curious guests to the opening reception.
The app for augmented reality ArtiVive allowed audiences to activate the animation by pointing their camera phone at a printed poster. The animation lasts 42 seconds with an exciting music piece. To create a sense of depth, six after-effects cameras navigate specific places on the poster, focusing and revealing the gridlines as these animate in unison with typography and subtle camera movements.
