This poster was designed to announce the inaugural William Dunlop Lecture Series at Auburn University, honoring the lasting influence of emeritus professor Bill Dunlop while introducing a platform for critical, contemporary design discourse. The goal was to create a graphic treatment that acknowledges academic tradition yet feels experimental and forward‑looking—mirroring both the spirit of the series and the work of the invited speaker, Martin Venezky. The poster needed to function as a clear event announcement while signaling that this lecture series is a space for inquiry and expanded thinking in graphic design.
